Who we are and what we do?
Company Profile
LIGNOTESTING, a.s., based in Bratislava, is a Slovak company specialised in testing and certification of construction products and management systems.
As an Approved and Notified Body, authorised by the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic, we assess and verify the constancy of performance of construction products in accordance with European standards.
Certification of construction products is performed by a product certification body accredited by the Slovak National Accreditation Service.
Certification of quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is carried out by a certification body for management systems certification, also accredited by the Slovak National Accreditation Service.
LIGNOTESTING, a.s. also operates as a testing laboratory, specializing primarily in the physical, chemical, and mechanical testing of materials and wood-based products.

Product Certification
LIGNOTESTING, Inc., Notified Body No. 1478, performs certification according to harmonized European standards (hEN) based on:
- Assessment of the construction product parameters based on tests, calculations, tabulated values, or descriptive product documentation,
- Initial inspection of the manufacturing plant and the factory production control system,
- Continuous surveillance of the factory production control system and assessment and verification of the factory production control system.
LIGNOTESTING, Inc., Authorized Body No. SK02, performs certification according to Slovak technical standards (STN) based on:
- Assessment of the construction product parameters based on tests, calculations, tabulated values, or descriptive product documentation,
- Initial inspection of the manufacturing plant and the factory production control system,
- Continuous surveillance of the factory production control system and assessment and verification of the factory production control system.
LIGNOTESTING, Inc., Notified Body No. 1478, performs certification according to harmonized European standards (hEN) based on:

- Continuous surveillance of the factory production control system and assessment and verification of the factory production control system.
LIGNOTESTING, Inc., Authorized Body No. SK02, performs certification according to Slovak technical standards (STN) based on:

Certification in non-regulated areas is performed as an unaccredited activity:
- Non-compulsory certification is carried out based on the assessment of the product's properties based on tests, calculations, tabulated values, or descriptive product documentation, initial inspection of the manufacturing plant and continuous inspections.
- Type certification is carried out based on tests, calculations, tabulated values, or descriptive product documentation.
